Does AI virtual staging keep the real room's layout and proportions?
Yes — that is the whole point of how we built it. Our engine keeps the real room. It never moves a wall, stretches a room or borrows a view. The architecture in the "after" is the architecture in the "before" — so anyone who walks in recognises every corner.
That is not a nice-to-have. For a listing photo, it is the line between a presentation you can stand behind at the viewing and a picture that sets up a disappointment. Below is exactly what we keep, what we change, and why we drew the line where we did.
What "keeps the layout" actually means
A virtual staging tool can do one of two very different things to a photo.
- It can present the real space better — clear the clutter, fix the light, re-shoot the angle so the room reads like a magazine cover.
- Or it can invent a new space — add walls, furnish an empty room, swap a car park for a sea view.
We only do the first. Our engine declutters, relights and re-shoots your photo. It improves presentation, styling and light. It does not redesign the property. The proportions of the room, the position of the windows, the shape of the space — all of it survives the edit unchanged.
The rule, stated plainly
Nothing added. Nothing invented. No moved walls. No stretched rooms. No borrowed views. No windows that were never there. The room you photograph is the room the buyer sees online, and the room they walk into.
Why we hold this line
The honesty is the product. An enhanced photo is only useful if it survives contact with reality — the moment a buyer stands in the doorway and compares the listing to the room.
If a tool had quietly widened the lounge or added a balcony, that moment goes badly: the buyer feels misled, the agent looks careless, and the trust the whole conversation runs on is gone before it starts. When the architecture is locked, the opposite happens. The photo made the room look its best, and the room matches it. Nothing to explain, nothing to walk back.
This is also what separates us from "redesign" or "reimagine" tools. Those exist to reinvent a space — new layouts, new furniture, new ideas. That is a different job for a different moment. For a live listing, the space in the picture has to be the space on the deed.
What we do change — and what we don't
It helps to be precise about the edit.
We change:
- Clutter — the shoes, the cables, the cluttered worktop come out, so the room reads clean.
- Light — flat phone light becomes even, editorial light.
- The shot — the image is re-shot to read like a cover, not a snapshot.
We never change:
- Walls and layout — no wall is moved, added or removed.
- Room size and proportions — no room is stretched or shrunk.
- Views — no view is borrowed from somewhere else.
The result comes back full resolution — ready for Idealista, Fotocasa, the portal and the brochure — usually in 2–4 minutes.
Because the room is real, you still disclose it
Keeping the architecture honest does not remove your duty to label the image. Our enhanced photos are AI-edited presentations of real spaces. Where your MLS, portal or local rules require you to disclose a digitally altered or virtually staged photo, that labelling is your responsibility — for example, marking the listing "digitally enhanced."
We keep the room true so that disclosure is a formality, not a confession: you are telling a buyer the photo was polished, not that the space was faked.
See it for yourself
The fastest way to trust this is to drag the slider on a before/after and then run one of your own photos.
